Now that the happy couple has made their announcement, I can share these photos we did for Andre and his lovely fiancé Kelci. They’re very excited to be welcoming their baby boy to the world. Also I’m not gonna lie - this is how I know I’m an empath...this photo shoot made me cry a little when I got in the car. We were the first to know the gender of their baby and had to give them the coordinating smoke bombs. That right there sent my heart fluttering to begin with. I kept thinking to myself “WHAT IF I ACCIDENTALLY BLURT IT OUT?! Okay okay keep it together Sarah.” That’s a lot of pressure - I’m glad I only had to keep that secret for about 60 seconds. Then, as they lit the wicks, they shared some sweet words to each other and I swear the sparks. From the smoke bombs were igniting all the love and excitement and energy that was bursting around me. For whatever reason, I soak up the energy of other people like a sponge. Being this way can be exhausting because it’s amplifying the emotions of everyone around me PLUS my own...so it can feel like emotional overload. Don’t get me wrong - I love this quality about myself and I wouldn’t change it for the world. This excess emotion manifests in so many ways for me.
