Northern Michigan Engagement Photos | Mike & Kaitlyn ft. Bailee in Leelanau County

There is something about the engagement period that is extremely romantic. I'm not sure if it's the new level of commitment or the idea that finding a soul mate is possible, but for whatever reason, something changes in couples who have said yes to each other. Even for couples who are not typically outwardly affectionate, the limbo between dating and marriage is an exciting new frontier that brings you closer than ever before. WE are so fortunate to get to be a part of the beginning for so many love stories as proposal, engagement and wedding photographers. Kaitlyn and Mike have been dating for long enough to know that they are undoubtedly compatible, and they celebrated their engagement with us up in beautiful Leelanau County. We did some of their engagement photos at Brengman Brothers Winery, then we headed out to the beautiful Lake Michigan coast for sunset pictures on the beach. We stopped at a couple of cute places along the way, including an old Blacksmith Shop in Glen Haven. Pure Michigan, right? It was such a bummer that we had to cancel their first round of photos due to inclement weather, but we were so glad that we waited because the weather was absolutely perfect. They even brought their pooch, Bailee, to get in on the celebration!
